On the heels of my latest fave session, I was literally buzzing from the images I had captured of my friend, Ang. I knew I wanted to do it again, but how could I personalize the session for my next client? How could it possibly be equal or greater than Ang’s session??? OMG I was driving myself crazy. Finally, it came to me. Flowers. A milkbath. More littles. Lorie had been looking for some unique portraits of her children, and this was it! We started out in my spare bedroom. Mom was in her flowery satin robe, and the boys were in their tiny boxer briefs from Bert’s Bees. And Emalyn, wore her very chic kimono that matched Mommy’s. They all snuggled right in on the bed, everyone and genuinely having a great time reading a book together. It was a cozy sight! After this segment, Lorie and Westin snuck off into the next room. Using powdered milk, and blooms from Passions Florist, the scene was set. They climbed into my claw foot, and the shutter on my camera went wild. I couldn’t get enough. The color and texture of this session is gorgeous (if I do say so myself lol). Lorrie’s simple glamor, the intense hues of those blossoms, and the mildness of that the milkbath. All factors in a grand product. I am so proud of myself, and grateful to Lorie for wanting me to capture some very intimate poses. And I am elated to photograph some of life’s fleeting moments for this beautiful family.
