Maybe you recognize that boardwalk. Maybe you recognize that Bally’s Casino sign. Or….MAYBE you recognize that bride from that Say Yes to the Dress episode where Grandmom makes Grandaughter try on a giant ball gown dress even though she already picked out a perfect dress but she tries it on anyway because she is an awesome person but then almost has a panic attack because of the massive tulle overload! Though I did do their engagements, I was very upset I was unable to photograph their official wedding at One Atlantic last year. Their day was in October 2015. It ended up being a pretty wet and windy day to say the least.
When I saw the weather that day I knew I wanted to do something for them. I always offer a redo to my couples when they get such a not-so-pretty day. But my schedule was so jam packed I really couldn’t offer a reshoot until the spring. SO I ended up forgetting and time passed! I ended up booking her cousin’s wedding in April and when I saw them I KNEW I had to contact Macie just to offer another shoot, though it had been months… When I emailed Macie I received a VERY EXCITED response within seconds! So sticking with the Shore theme, I thought, ‘What bride wouldn’t be excited to slip on her stellar wedding dress again and romp around on Jersey beaches?’ I mean, come on! So when I gave Macie this option, she was so happy!
So off we went to AC one misty evening to relive and re-invent the marriage of Macie and Herb. It is so different photographing new couples NOT on their wedding day. The jitters are gone, there are no dance floor pics or kisses at the alter. Just the simple essence of a bond. Love. It is equally as special as the formal day. Could have fooled everyone around us though. All the boardwalk spectators wished Macie and Herb warm congratulations on their wedding, and we all giggled knowing they were already married almost 5 months!
Thank you guys so much for working with me and being a great clients. I always have such a fun time with you guys. I look forward to our future sessions…maybe even on the beach again!
