I have done lifestyle sessions for a few of my clients, and I always get questions as to what exactly that is, and I wanted to share a recent one with you all. A lifestyle session is when a client chooses to host the shoot in their home. Simple as that! It’s not my studio or a location, it is very personal to the family. I always feel pretty honored that someone wants to let me into their personal living space. I have worked with this Franklinville family previously, but that was before the arrival of Olivia. Actually, in our last session mom was pregnant with Olivia, but just didn’t know yet! So this past Spring, Mom contacted me with the big news and we booked a date. I shot for about 2 hours. We used some of my wraps from my collection and I even got to shoot in the nursery- which I LOVED. It was inspired by a Restoration Hardware spread. Mom fell in love with the Sharon Montrose animal prints, and ordered them directly from the artist. Big sister Maddie was full of loving energy, curious and proud. I think shooting lifestyle sessions makes clients feel natural and comfortable. They are surrounded by the comfort of their own home and that can make a big difference, especially with children. Enjoy!
