I HAD to call this blog Cake by the Ocean! It’s Julia’s fave right now and we totally rock out to it, and how perfect of a fit!?! Better late than never so this is a little end of Summer throwback here with my girl Callie. Callie turned one back in August, so where else would we go for her Cake Smash but the beach! Sea Isle City to be exact. This babe loves the sand and the water, throw some birthday cake into the mix and BAM! That is one happy baby. A cool little detail about this shoot, and I hope I am getting this right, is that the quilt she is on was made by her Great-Grandmother!
It was so thoughtful of Callie’s parents to bring it to the beach to get all sandy and soggy- and frosting-y lol. It makes these images even more sentimental for the family. This Cake Smash marked the end of a First Year Journey package for this family, and I have to admit it was a little sad for me- I get attached! I can only hope that I see this family again and again, because they are just wonderful people.
